The Charing Cross Hotel has been gracing London’s skyline since 1865. As part of the citywide Guoman Collection of luxury hotels, this extraordinary Grade II listed building (complete with a recently renovated Buckingham Wing to the tune of £2.5 million) remains an enduring testament to Victorian elegance and ingenuity, as well as evoking an age where the railway was the height of luxury travel. It’s also located at the very heart of the city – or more exactly, the hotel’s Eleanor Bar (named after the famous, newly renovated Eleanor Cross that can be seen from inside the bar) is regarded as the official centre of London and is using as a tethering point when measuring distances from the city.
It’s in this very bar that you could be attending our exclusive Travelllll.com event on Sunday 6th November, from 4.30pm onwards. Guests will sip Pimms – on the house until 6pm – and tuck into burgers and fish & chips, and at 5pm Steve Keenan (he of Social Travel Market) will be providing an introductory run-down of what everyone can look forward to at World Travel Market – then we’re straight into a quiz!
