‘Is A Blogger A Journalist?’ Legal Debate Back On

Court House sign

The question of whether a blogger should be treated the same way as a journalist is back on the agenda in the USA, and over the same legal issue as the recent case in Oregon.

Last month there was a great deal of coverage and debate over the case of blogger Crystal Cox in which a district court judge ruled that she wasn’t a journalist and therefore couldn’t decline to reveal her source in a defamation case under Continue Reading

IBM Achieve Breakthrough In Data Storage Density

atomic model of Graphene

IBM Research have announced that they can now store one bit of data on 12 atoms.

Let me just highlight that last one again…

WHEN!!!!!

So, why recently has it become fashionable, in WordPress templates in particular, to drop the date from posts?

It should be THE ‘Golden Number One’ piece of metadata for every post, and displayed in big characters at the top of each post.

It’s not just WordPress. When I adopted my own new Joomla! template last summer I was horrified to discover Continue Reading
